What's New At CBXMAN - The Times Leader

Competition from national chains like Lowe's and Home Depot drove Dennis McCartney to sell his business in 1999. In an ironic twist of fate, Lowe's is indirectly helping McCartney to expand his new business, CBXMAN at 378 Main St., Edwardsville, PA.
To acquire the land it needed for its new Edwardsville store, Lowe's had to move the First Welch Presbyterian Church. A site next to McCartney's nearby property was available, but wasn't quite big enough. Lowe's and McCartney made a deal that accomodated the church and provided McCartney with land behind the CBXMAN warehouse where McCartney plans to install a test-drive area for would-be purchasers of motorcycles and all-terrian vehicles.
Come spring, they may want to take a spin in McCartney's newest addition, a three-wheeled two seater with automatic transmission that is street legal because vehicles with less than four wheels are title as motorcycles. In addition to selling the vehicle, McCartney will be the Northeast distribution center and will be responsible for establishing dealerships throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic states.
The 4.5' tall Tango also represents the global nature of the products McCartney sells. It's marketed by a Taiwanese company, but made to their specification at a Peugeot automobile factory in Uruguay, South America.
The showroom is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
